The 3008 changed completely between its two generations — from a practical MPV to a keyless-heavy SUV — so the generation drives both cost and security advice:
3008 Gen 1 (T84, 2009–2016)
- Blade: VA2 external-cut blade.
- Key: two- or three-button flip (switchblade) remote with a Hitag2 (ID46) transponder — OBD-programmable at the roadside.
- All-keys-lost: the BSI PIN is generally readable by OBD, so AKL is done on-site.
3008 Gen 2 (P84, 2016–present, EMP2 platform)
- Blade: HU83 high-security laser blade.
- Key: keyless proximity entry with the i-Cockpit cabin, standard on most trims, using a secure Hitag AES fob.
- Variants: petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid (HYBRID4 / PHEV) all use the same smart-key architecture.
- Security: the keyless system is a relay-theft target. A Faraday pouch, disciplined spare-key storage and re-coding after any theft all matter.

My keyless 3008 fob was stolen — is the car at risk?

Does the plug-in hybrid 3008 (HYBRID4/PHEV) use a different key?

How can I stop my keyless 3008 being stolen?
