For your peace of mind, we can deactivate all previous keys & remotes from the vehicle’s memory using our on-board diagnostic equipment.
This means that any keys not present at the time of programming, will not start the vehicle.
For some vehicle’s, we will need the ‘security code’ & ‘key number’ of the vehicle.
This is normally supplied with the vehicle (on a credit card sized document) but if you don’t have this, we can supply it (most makes & models) please ask for a price (starting at £25 plus VAT).
This saves you the inconvenience of taking all your log book information to the main dealer.
For some vehicles, we will also need the Chassis/Vin Number (on your V5 log book, MOT certificate or on the bottom of the windscreen).
Firstly we come out to your vehicle which avoids the cost of having your vehicle towed to the dealer.
In addition, if you were to use the main dealer you would need to take your V5 log book and 2 forms of ID to them to order the key – once the key arrives, (we have heard some situations where it can take up to 2 weeks) you will need to leave the car there while they carry out the work.
