Vauxhall Mokka Keys: Types & What You Need
The Mokka is a tale of two very different cars. The generation decides the blade, the chip and the tooling, so the year (or your reg) is the first thing we need:
Mokka / Mokka X (2012–2019) — GM architecture
- Blade: HU100R internal-cut laser blade.
- Transponder: Philips/NXP Hitag2 (ID46) on the GM immobiliser.
- Remote: HU100R flip (switchblade) remote; keyless entry on higher trims [verify against your VIN].
- All-keys-lost: programmed by OBD at the roadside.
Mokka (2020–present) — PSA/Stellantis platform
- Underneath: the current Mokka shares the Stellantis CMP platform with the Peugeot 2008 and the Corsa F — so it uses their VA2 / HU83 key system. The all-electric Mokka-e is the same.
- Blade: VA2 / HU83 profile.
- Transponder: Hitag2 / AES chip; flip remote as standard, with keyless proximity entry common on higher trims.
- Security: the keyless system is a relay-theft target — we recommend a Faraday pouch, keeping the spare away from the front door, and re-coding after any theft.
Bottom line: a pre-2020 Mokka is a GM key and a 2020-on Mokka is a Stellantis key — completely different jobs. Give us the reg or the year and we will confirm the exact key, chip and price before we travel.

My keyless Mokka fob was stolen — is the car at risk?

Does the electric Mokka-e use a different key?
No — the Mokka-e uses the same Stellantis keyless smart-key system as the petrol 2020-on Mokka, so there is no difference in how we programme it. If you have lost the key to a Mokka-e, we treat it exactly like any other current Mokka.
Can you programme an older GM Mokka flip key at the roadside too?
