The current Combo is a Stellantis van, so we cut its VA2 / HU83 blade and code the key to your immobiliser with dealer-level software.

A spare is cheaper than a stranded van. We supply and programme spare and fleet Combo keys at your home, yard or depot.
Spare & fleet keysRegain Entry Into Your Vauxhall Combo
Lost, snapped or stolen your Vauxhall Combo key? The Combo is the small van that quietly keeps a business moving — the parts run, the last-mile delivery, the mobile trade. When it is immobilised, those jobs simply do not happen.
Take the Combo to a main dealer and you are usually looking at recovering the van, an appointment days away, and a bill that includes the key, the programming and the transport. A high-street key cutter cannot rescue you either — the Combo runs an encrypted immobiliser, so an uncoded key opens the door but never starts the engine.
Lock City is a mobile van locksmith that comes to you with the right Stellantis software and blanks for the Combo. We cut the blade, code the key to your immobiliser on-site and get you moving — no towing, no dealer wait. We also supply spare and fleet van keys so one lost key never strands the van. Call 07967 097 899, Monday to Friday, 8am–5:30pm.
Vauxhall Combo Keys: Types & What You Need
The Combo has changed hands between platforms over the years, so the generation tells us the blade, chip and tooling to bring:
Combo (2018-on) — Stellantis / Berlingo–Partner platform
- Underneath: the current Combo shares its platform with the Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Partner and Toyota Proace City — so it uses their Stellantis key system, not an old Vauxhall one.
- Blade: VA2 / HU83 profile.
- Transponder: Hitag2 / AES (ID46/ID49) chip; flip remote as standard, keyless proximity on higher trims [verify against your VIN].
- All-keys-lost: roadside-programmable by OBD with current Stellantis software.
Combo D (2012–2018) — earlier Fiat Doblò-based van
- Note: the previous-generation Combo was based on the Fiat Doblò and uses a different, older key system. If yours pre-dates 2018, tell us — the key and chip differ from the current Stellantis Combo.
Bottom line: a 2018-on Combo is effectively a Berlingo/Partner for key purposes, so the shared Stellantis system applies. Give us the reg and we will confirm the exact key, chip and price before we set off.

Vauxhall Combo Key Replacement — Your Questions Answered
Is a Vauxhall Combo key the same as a Citroën Berlingo or Peugeot Partner key?
For the current (2018-on) Combo, effectively yes — it is built on the same Stellantis platform as the Berlingo and Partner, so it shares their VA2 / HU83 key system. That is genuine good news: it is a well-understood, roadside-programmable key. See our Citroën Berlingo and Peugeot Partner pages.
Can you programme a Combo key at the roadside, or does it have to go to Vauxhall?
At the roadside. The current Combo is programmed on-site by OBD with our dealer-level Stellantis software — including all-keys-lost — so there is no need to recover the van or wait for a dealer slot. See our van key programming service.
My Combo is older than 2018 — can you still help?
Yes. The earlier Combo D is based on the Fiat Doblò and uses a different key system, but we cover both. Tell us the year or your registration and we will bring the right blank, chip and software for your exact van.
Can you come to my depot to cut spare keys for a fleet of Combos?
Yes. We attend yards, depots and sites to cut and programme spare or replacement Combo keys across multiple vans in one visit — the cheapest way to make sure a single lost key never takes a van off the road. See our van locksmith solutions.
My Combo won’t start but the engine turns over — is it the key?
It can be. A de-synced transponder or an immobiliser fault lets the van crank without firing, which is easy to mistake for an engine problem. We diagnose the immobiliser and re-code the key on-site.
