One key on a working van is a risk. We supply spare and fleet keys for Partners at your yard, depot or site.
Spare & fleet keysRegain Entry Into Your Peugeot Partner
A Peugeot Partner off the road stops the working day. The Partner is one of Britain’s go-to compact vans for tradespeople and small fleets, so a lost, stolen or snapped key costs you the job and the income, not just a key.
The dealer route means recovery to the branch, an appointment days out, and a bill stacking the key, the coding and the transport while the van sits idle. A general locksmith cannot programme it either — the Partner runs a Hitag2/AES immobiliser, so an uncoded key will not start it. You need someone who knows the Stellantis compact-van key system across its generations.
Lock City is a mobile van locksmith who comes to your yard, depot or the roadside with the dealer-level software and correct blanks to cut and code a Partner key on-site — no towing, no dealer wait. We handle deadlock lockouts and fleet spare keys too. Call 07967 097 899, Mon–Fri 8am–5:30pm.
Peugeot Partner Keys: Types & What You Need
The Partner spans two generations with different keys, so telling us the year (or your reg) means we arrive with the right blank, chip and software:
Partner B9 (2008–2018)
- Blade: VA2 external-cut blade.
- Transponder: Hitag2 (ID46) — OBD-programmable at the roadside; the PIN is generally readable by OBD.
- Remote: two-button remote, or a plain transponder key on base vans.
Partner K9 (2018–present, EMP2 platform)
- Blade: HU83 high-security laser blade [verify against your VIN].
- Key: flip remote as standard, with keyless proximity entry on higher trims, using a more secure Hitag AES chip.
- All-keys-lost: roadside-programmable with current software.
Sibling note: the Partner is the Stellantis compact van — mechanically the Citroën Berlingo, Vauxhall Combo, the later Fiat Doblò and the Toyota Proace City — so they share the VA2/HU83 key system. Whatever the badge, the key job is the same.
Note: the VA2-to-HU83 change and keyless options vary by build date and trim [verify against your VIN]. Tell us your reg and we will confirm before we set off.

Peugeot Partner Key Replacement — Your Questions Answered
How fast can you get my Peugeot Partner back on the road?
We prioritise vans because an off-road Partner is lost income. In most cases we cut and programme a key at your location in one visit, with no recovery to a dealer. See our van locksmith solutions.
Does the year of my Partner change the key job?
Yes. A 2008–2018 Partner (B9) uses a VA2 blade and Hitag2 chip; a 2018-on Partner (K9) uses the HU83 high-security blade and can be keyless. Give us the year or your reg and we will bring the right parts first time.
Can you programme a keyless Partner key?
Yes. Later K9 Partners with proximity entry use a secure Hitag AES smart key, and we carry the blanks and current software to code one at the roadside — including all-keys-lost.
Can you come to my yard to key several Partners?
Yes. We attend yards and depots to cut and programme spare or replacement keys across a fleet in one visit — the cheapest way to keep every van covered. See our replacement van keys service.
Is a Partner key the same as a Berlingo or Vauxhall Combo key?
Yes — the Citroën Berlingo and Vauxhall Combo are the same Stellantis compact van and share the Partner’s key system, so the job is the same regardless of badge.
