Spare keysRegain Entry Into Your Fiat Panda
A dead, lost or snapped Fiat Panda key leaves you going nowhere. The Panda is the classic cheap-to-run city car, so the last thing you want is a key problem that costs more than the job should — yet a main dealer will happily turn it into exactly that.
The dealer route means recovering the Panda, waiting for an appointment and paying for the key, the coding and the transport. A high-street key cutter cannot rescue you either — the Panda runs a coded immobiliser, so an uncoded key will open the door but never crank the engine.
Lock City is a mobile Fiat locksmith carrying the dealer-level software, the correct transponders and the SIP22 blanks your Panda needs. We come to you, repair or replace the key and code it to your immobiliser on-site — no towing, no dealer delay, and every Panda key replacement guaranteed. Phone 07967 097 899, Mon–Fri 8am–5:30pm.
Fiat Panda Keys: Types & What You Need
The Panda has kept things refreshingly simple — bladed transponder and flip keys throughout — which usually means a quick, affordable job. Telling us the generation (or your reg) means we arrive with exactly the right blank, chip and software:
Panda (169 series, 2003–2012)
- Blade: SIP22.
- Transponder: Megamos (ID48) on most cars, with earlier examples on Philips Hitag2 (ID46).
- Remote: a plain transponder key on base cars, or a remote-head key on higher trims.
Panda (319 series, 2012–present)
- Key: SIP22 blade with a bladed transponder or flip (switchblade) remote, using a more secure Megamos transponder.
- The classic Panda job: a worn flip-switch that no longer springs the blade out — we re-shell the key and transfer the electronics rather than sell you a whole new key.
- All-keys-lost: programmed by OBD at the roadside; the Panda is almost never keyless, which keeps costs down.
Note: the exact transponder generation and flip-key availability vary by build date and trim [verify against your VIN]. Tell us your reg and we will confirm the key type before we come out.

Fiat Panda Key Replacement — Your Questions Answered
How much is a replacement Fiat Panda key in Bristol?
The Panda is one of the cheaper Fiats to key because it is almost always a straightforward bladed transponder or flip key rather than a smart fob. A spare is the cheapest tier; an all-keys-lost costs more because a fresh key has to be generated and coded. Send us your registration and we will confirm the exact price before we travel.
My Fiat Panda flip key won’t spring out any more — can you fix it?
Yes. On the 319-series Panda a worn flip spring or micro-switch is the most common fault. We can re-shell the key and transfer your existing electronics and blade — much cheaper than a brand-new coded key.
Can you replace a Panda key without going to a Fiat dealer?
Yes. We cut and programme Panda keys at the roadside by OBD using dealer-level software. There is no need to recover the car or book into a dealer. See our Fiat key programming service.
I’ve lost all the keys to my Panda — what happens now?
We treat it as an all-keys-lost job: we generate a fresh key, cut the SIP22 blade and code it to your immobiliser at the roadside, so the Panda starts before we leave. More detail on our lost car keys page.
My Panda key turns but the buttons don’t work — is it broken?
Usually it is just a flat CR2032 fob battery or a tired micro-switch, not a failed transponder. We can replace the battery or repair the remote cheaply. If the blade is worn, we can re-cut or re-shell it in the same visit.
