The Suzuki Swift Key Services We Offer

Swift Vehicle Entry

Locked your keys inside the Swift, or a blade stuck in the door? We open it with non-destructive tools — no drilling, no damage.

Lost Your Swift Keys?

Every Swift key lost? We read the immobiliser and PIN and code a fresh key to the car at the roadside — no dealer recovery, no days off the road.

Swift Key Programming

Fixed-blade keys, flip remotes and Smart Keys alike — we cut HU133R blades and code Swift keys to your immobiliser with dealer-level software.

Spare Swift Keys

A programmed spare now is far cheaper than a future all-keys-lost. We supply and code a spare Swift key at your home or work.

Regain Entry Into Your Suzuki Swift

Lost, snapped or stolen your Suzuki Swift key? As Suzuki’s best-selling supermini, the Swift is a proper daily-driver — so an immobilised one you cannot start stops the commute, the school run and the working day dead.

A main dealer will want the Swift recovered, an appointment days out, and a bill stacking the key, the coding and the transport. A general locksmith usually cannot help either: the Swift runs a Suzuki immobiliser, so an uncoded key opens the door but never starts the engine — and an all-keys-lost needs the immobiliser and PIN read to authorise a new key.

Lock City is a Suzuki-focused mobile locksmith carrying the dealer-level software, HU133R blanks and the ID46/ID47 transponders your Swift needs. We come to you, cut and code the key at the roadside and get you moving — no towing, no dealer wait. Every Swift key replacement and key programming job is guaranteed. Call 07967 097 899, Mon–Fri 8am–5:30pm.

Know Your Key

Suzuki Swift Keys: Types & What You Need

Knowing which Swift you have tells us exactly which key, chip and software the job needs — and whether it is a quick spare or a full all-keys-lost. Here is the real breakdown by generation:

RS / MZ (2005–2010)

  • Blade: Suzuki-specific / TOY-style profile on the earliest cars [verify against your VIN].
  • Key type: fixed-blade transponder key or flip remote, ID46 (PCF7936) chip.
  • All-keys-lost: immobiliser and PIN read — achievable at the roadside on most cars.

FZ / NZ (2010–2017)

  • Blade: HU133R on most cars [verify against your VIN].
  • Key type: flip remote key; keyless Smart Key offered on higher trims; ID46 moving to ID47.

AZ (2017–present)

  • Key type: ID47 (Hitag3) transponder; keyless Smart Key common on SZ5 and Sport [verify against your VIN].
  • All-keys-lost: roadside on most cars; the newest keyless builds can be more involved [verify against your VIN].

Note: the exact blade, chip and whether yours is keyless vary by trim and build date [verify against your VIN]. Tell us your reg and we will confirm the key type and route first. Our Suzuki key systems guide explains the difference.

Suzuki Swift FAQs

Suzuki Swift Key Replacement — Your Questions Answered

Can you programme a Suzuki Swift key at the roadside?

For the vast majority of Swifts — RS, FZ and AZ — yes. We cut the HU133R blade and code the key to your immobiliser on-site with dealer-level software. Only some of the newest keyless Smart-Key all-keys-lost cases can be more involved, and we will tell you before we travel.

I’ve lost all my Swift keys — what happens?

It is an all-keys-lost: we read the immobiliser and PIN, generate a fresh key and code it to the car at the roadside, so the Swift starts before we leave. See our lost car keys service.

My Swift key turns but the buttons are dead — new key?

Usually not. On the Swift this is almost always a flat coin-cell fob battery or worn micro-switches, not a failed transponder. We can replace the battery or repair the fob for a fraction of a new key.

Does a keyless Smart Key Swift cost more to replace?

Generally yes — a keyless Smart Key is a more expensive part than a fixed-blade or flip key and takes longer to code. We carry both, so whichever your Swift has, we can sort it in one visit.

How much is a replacement Swift key?

Suzuki is an affordable marque to key, so a spare Swift key is usually a lower tier. Give us your registration and we will confirm the exact figure before we travel — no surprises.
